Learn how to get the most out of ChatClipThat
Getting Started
Submit your first VOD for analysis
How to submit a VOD
- Click "Create New" in the sidebar or go to the VODs page
- Paste a Twitch or Kick VOD URL, search a Twitch username, or choose Upload for your own file
- Select your content type, clip length, and curation focus
- Optionally set a time window to analyze only a portion of the VOD
- Confirm the credit estimate and submit the job
Ways to Submit
- Paste a URL - Twitch or Kick VODs; paid plans can also process supported external video URLs
- Search Twitch - Find a streamer's recent Twitch VODs by username
- Upload a File - Upload your own MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, or FLV file
- Import from Drive - Hobby and Creator users can import videos from Google Drive
For long VODs (4+ hours), consider setting a time window to focus on the best parts and save credits.
Understanding the Timeline
Navigate and use the highlight timeline
Timeline Overview
After processing, you'll see a visual timeline showing all detected highlights. The timeline displays:
- Heatmap â Shows intensity of action throughout the VOD
- Highlight Markers â Colored bars indicating detected moments
Navigating Highlights
- Click any highlight marker to jump to that moment
- Use the â â arrow keys to move between highlights
- Scroll to zoom in/out on the timeline
- Drag to pan across the timeline
Highlight Cards
Each detected highlight shows:
- Timestamp and duration
- AI-generated title and description
- Confidence score
- Quick actions (play, export, edit)
Use Ctrl+F to search the transcript and timeline events. Search results can be reviewed on the timeline before you return to the full highlight list.
Exporting Clips
Download and share your highlights
How to Export a Clip
- Find the highlight you want to export on the timeline
- Open the clip editor if you want to adjust trim, captions, overlays, or aspect ratio first
- Click the Export button on the highlight card or in the editor
- Choose your destination:
- Download - Save the rendered MP4 to your device
- Social - Post to a connected TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube account when available on your plan
- Confirm the export and wait for rendering or upload to finish
- Download the clip when the export is ready
Batch Download
Select multiple highlights or use Download All to package rendered clips together. Batch download is available on paid plans.
If a clip is already rendered and unchanged, downloads can reuse the existing render instead of rendering again.
Credits & Usage
How the credit system works
What are Credits?
Credits are used when you process or reprocess video. The standard cost is:
- 1 credit = 1 minute of video analyzed
Example Costs
- 30-minute VOD = 30 credits
- 1-hour VOD = 60 credits
- 3-hour VOD = 180 credits
Getting More Credits
- Subscribe to a plan for monthly credits
- Credits refresh each billing cycle
- Unused credits don't roll over
Set a time window when submitting to analyze only part of a VOD and save credits. Exports do not deduct the same processing credits again.
